A Few Fashion Links and Deals

Just a quick post with a few links.

DealCatcher has a $20 off coupon on $100 at Crutchfield (coupon code: 3A706). Crutchfield is arguably the best website for techies to get outfitted with electronics. Their own product reviews and specs that go even beyond(!) the owner's manual are noteworthy. They can definitely help if you're still trying to figure out what kinda swag you need to outfit your lifestyle. Thanks DealCatcher.

Today, I'm all about Buy.com. Here are TWO ways you can spend less than $100 (including shipping, using my SF zip code) and get some serious gear:

1) Firefly TV Series (Complete Series Box Set, 4-dvd's) $24.90. I love this series for its originality and dialogue. The concept is more intelligent than most other sci-fi's, I've blogged about it before here and here.

Dark Angel Complete First Season Box Set (6-dvd's) $23.90. If you like looking at Jessica Alba, this first season is pretty fantastic. James Cameron helmed this project and reportedly spent $10 million on the pilot and $1 mil per episode. The first season is well worth watching, the second drops drastically downhill (think Olympic bobsledders off the Empire State Building drastic). Read my Netflix review here.

And finish by hooking yourself up with a Transcend 4GB Secure Digital flash mem card $49.95. I believe the speed of this card is 45X, which is just about the max that most digital cameras can work at... I mean, if you get a 150X card, your camera is most likely only going to optimize at about 45X or 60X anyways. $24.90+$23.90 + $49.95 = $98.75 total. And if you haven't ever used Google Checkout (new users only), you can get $10 off through Google Checkout.

2) Western Digital My Book 250GB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive $95.50 with Free Shipping. Again, new Google Checkout users can take $10 off.

I'm not the biggest fan of Best Buy, but they've got a great deal on 2-cd sets. Get any TWO of the available Sony 2-cd sets for $25! They're usually $20-30 each set, so this is a good one.

More info on yesterday's post, the Chevy Volt, can be found on autosavant.net. Plus, they've got a few new articles up worth peeping. Thanks Dan and Brendan for the heads-up!

These days there's almost nothing cooler (IMHO) than a fashion company working to improve the industry standard by using sustainable textiles. And Sans is doing a very interesting line at that. Thanks Inhabitat.

Lastly, just checking in with nymag.com for some updates on the runways. They constantly have new designer pics up. Certainly one of the best sites to check out the trends.

Look for my archive post with my all-time favorite bookmarks prolly tomorrow. Cheers peeps.
