Cool Gadgets and Links
In the next few days, I'm gonna have a post(s) with some of my all-time fave sites and links. It's good archiving (soooo many bookmarks in FF 2.0) for me, and may be of interest to some... So please continue to check back.
I've just added my blog to placeblogger. It's a blog search engine that finds blogs based on geographic location. Obviously, I can be found under "San Francisco." If you're living somewhere else, or traveling, it may be of interest to check out if there are some swank blogs in your 'hood.
It's gotta be said, and I'm gonna say it. Firefox is the browser of choice. Oh what? I've said it before? Yeah? Many times? Oh. Well, so has PC World, when they ranked Internet Explorer 6 (IE 6) #8 on their: The 25 Worst Tech Products of All Time. Yeah, eighth is pretty bad... but never as bad as being number one (or first). lol. Intel-esting rist, read along and you can prolly nod your head knowingly- having "experienced" some of these tech-no-logic disasters yourself. hum.
We all love gadgets, I guess that's why they keep coming up with so many new ones. You can always check men.style.com which is the online home of GQ and Details magazines. Go, ... go on!... Check out the gear on that mag.
Lemme ask you a question... You ever seen Nikes you've never seen before? Oh, c'mon, you know whadahmean. That person prolly got their kicks from wesoldout. Specializing in limited edition sneaks, clothes, and toys.Who's looking for the coolest new smart toy? It's gotta be the Pleo designer dino. Be careful to nurture it and give it plenty of space as it grows up. Supposed to be on the shelves Feb. 3rd. (personal note to self: all A.I. pets I buy from now on must not be smarter than me... remember what happened with that Chia Pet?).
PopGadget is a favorite site of mine, they had this telephoto lens for mobile phone cameras... and woot! They had it pictured on my w600i cellie. Provides 6x zoom for $19.No gadget post ever seems complete without cartalk. So, here is the Engadget post about the Chevy Volt concept car. A hybrid 71 hp, 1.0L three-banger with a li-ion battery power system to the wheels. supposed to manage 0-60 in 8.5 seconds and range out around 640 miles. Nice.
The article also refers to the Tesla. Now, the Tesla is just a dream roadster. Does it even matter that it runs completely on a Lithium-Ion charge? Only if you wanna be the first to blaze 0-60 in 4 seconds with no engine noise. Should you care if it gets 250 miles per charge? Only if the words "global warming" have any bearing on your conscience... Or maybe you would just prefer spending gas money at Starbucks instead of at the pump.Enjoy your Sunday. Cheers.
