Creative Sites.

First off, Worth 1000 has been around for many whiles. It is a site full of ingenuity and creative peeps. They basically hold contests for Photoshop manipulation of images into varying themes. The results are amazing. If you want to be inspired with the power of Photoshop, check it out. the "Mate a Car" may be a popular one, but so are many others.

Have you gotten used to using Google Maps instead of MapQuest? Well, I'm starting to really like superfuture for their listings of businesses (even categorized right on the map). I guess you can help contribute to make the maps even better, but they're solid maps in the biggest cities: Tokyo, New York, Sydney, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Singapore. Some other cities seem like they could still use lots more contributions. Also check their Shop List and other features. Good looking peeps, hope this keeps up!

Are you a createur in paper? Do your paper skills go way beyond paper cuts? My guess is, unless your name is Richard Sweeney, you will still be humbled in comparison to these flickr photos. Paper and Polypropylene are the mediums, the results are nothing short of breathtaking. Sure you don't believe me... Just go see for yourself.

I've still never gotten this sorted out in my head... Design Within Reach is a great concept, a great store name even, but do they truly execute what their moniker suggests?

Let's take their bedside tables for example. Peeps like myself might call them nightstands. Subtract out the top two most expensive ($1098 & $998) and two least expensive ($228 & $148) to create a fair category, divide the total price ($6293) by the remaining number of tables (10). The average is $629.30. Now, pray tell, is that within reach for you for a bedside table? How about for a nightstand? hunh. Well, they are based in San Francisco, and their latest Fiscal Quarter says they are growing (by about 20% in net sales).

I kinda think their namesake, DWR, is grounds for false advertisement. Just like "Tour Distance" golf balls. I mean, if I could buy a golf ball that would go 160 yards with my pitching wedge, I couldn't complain. But mine still only go about 118 yards. That ceratainly isn't Tour Distance AFAIK. I think the only time I could hit a wedge tour distance is when I'm about 100 yards from the green with water over the back. Go figure, but I digress.

Last topic, here is a list of (supposedly) officially sanctioned dog zones in San Francisco. I cannot confirm it, but the ones I know look accurate. Have a great weekend, cheers.
