Concerts 8/10 and Beyond.

It's Thursday and that means it's time to figure out what happenings are on for the weekend.

Lots of upcoming concerts... As always.

If you want to flashback in time, Olivia Newton-John is in Saratoga tonight.

Kurtis Blow is playing tomorrow, Friday at Mighty. If you're true Old School, you know who he is- if not, it's prolly not worth explaining (I'm guessing).

This Sunday Bill Maher will be at the Saratoga Winery.

Friday-Sunday 8/25-27 Def Leppard & Journey will be at the Concord Pavilion (okay, I admittedly have issues with calling it 'Sleep Train Pavilion').

Dave Matthews Band will play Shoreline Amphitheatre Fri-Sat 9/8-9.

Massive Attack is at the Greek Theatre on Friday 9/22.

Sheryl Crow & John Mayer will be at Concord Pavilion Fri-Sat 9/29-30 and Shoreline Sun 10/1.

A ways away is Evanesence at the Warfield on Sun 10/29 and The Dixie Chicks at Oakland Arena on Fri 11/17.

Tix will go on sale soon for The Count Basie Orchestra at the Flint Center in Cupertino for Sun, Dec 10th.

Here are links to some of the larger venues in the SF Bay Area.
Oakland Arena, HP Pavilion, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Concord Pavilion.
Some smaller but noteworthy SF venues.
Red Devil Lounge, SF Independent, The Warfield, UC Berkeley Greek Theatre, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, The Fillmore, Mezzanine, Paramount Theatre, and Masonic Auditorium.
